Speaking With an Alabama Nursing Home Abuse Lawyer

When a resident of an Alabama nursing home faces immediate danger, dial 911 or the local police before anything else. Under Ala. Administrative Code rule Resident rights must be protected and promoted by every facility under the state nursing facility resident-rights rule, 420-5-10-.05. These include a dignified existence, self-determination, and no reprisal for exercising those rights. The general injury filing deadline in Alabama gives civil lawsuits a 2-year window, set by Ala. Code §§ 6-2-30 et seq., but a different, sometimes shorter deadline may apply to a nursing home or medical claim. For a family in Alabama, a lawyer can confirm the exact filing dates.
