Idaho Nursing Home Inspection Reports
The Idaho Department of Health and Welfare, Bureau of Facility Standards maintains a Review Skilled Nursing/Nursing Facilities Survey Results page with posted state survey results and state complaint resources for families. Previously called Nursing Home Compare, Medicare Care Compare is the federal search tool where every Idaho facility also has a profile. For Idaho's 80 homes, every profile carries links to the federal inspection reports. Each is the Form CMS-2567 statement of deficiencies and describes what inspectors found during visits.
Unsafe care or a rule violation at an Idaho home can be reported by families in two ways: by calling the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare, Bureau of Facility Standards at 1-800-345-1453, or through its skilled nursing resource page. For help resolving a care problem, residents and relatives can call (877) 471-2777 to reach the Idaho Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program at the Idaho Commission on Aging. Idaho Adult Protective Services also accepts reports of suspected abuse or neglect involving a vulnerable adult in the state.

Speaking With an Idaho Nursing Home Abuse Lawyer
When an Idaho resident faces danger right now, dial 911 first. Reporting is required under Idaho Code § 39-5303 for facility employees, medical professionals, and anyone else who reasonably suspects the mistreatment of a vulnerable adult. They must notify Adult Protective Services in 24 hours or less, and law enforcement in 4 hours or less when death or serious injury occurs. (Failing to report counts as a misdemeanor offense.) A general injury claim must be filed within 2 years in Idaho under Idaho Code §§ 5-201 et seq.; the deadline for nursing home or medical cases can differ and may be shorter, and a lawyer can check which dates apply for the family.
The provider information and health deficiencies files from CMS Care Compare supply the data.
