Speaking With a Tennessee Nursing Home Abuse Lawyer
When a resident of a Tennessee home faces immediate danger right now, the first call should be to 911. According to Tenn. Tennessee sets its general deadline to sue for personal injury at 1 year, per Code §§ 28-3-101 et seq. A claim involving a nursing home or medical care, however, may face a different time limit that is at times shorter. The state's staffing regulations for nursing homes, found under Tenn. Comp. R. & Regs. Tennessee nursing homes must also give each resident at least 2 hours of direct care every day under 0720-18-.06(4)(d), and licensed nursing personnel must account for 0.4 hours of that time. The family can have a lawyer check the Tennessee filing dates.
